Grant Wahl was born in Mission, Kansas 1974 on 8th December. He was a soccer analyst for CBS Sports and an American sports journalist. He was best known for having been a senior writer. He was also the writer of The Beckham Experiment book published in 2009.
Wahl attended Shawnee Mission East High School. He was an Eagle Scout. In 1996, he passed his graduation from Princeton University, where he received a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Politics.
At the beginning of his first year at University- Princeton, Wahl covered the Princeton Tigers men’s soccer team. Then, Bob Bradley coached him, Bob Bradley go on to manage the United States national team and Major League Soccer teams. Bradley provided an opportunity to study abroad in Argentina to Wahl, Wahl shared his experiences with Bradley as having his interest in his love of the sport.

Wahl started his career working with the Miami Herald as an intern in 1991. From there, In 1996 November, he joined Sports Illustrated. covering university basketball and Soccer In his career, Wahl reported on 12 NCAA basketball tournaments, eight FIFA men’s World Cups, four FIFA Women’s World Cups, and five Olympic games.
In 1998, Wahl first gained excellent reviews for his cover story “Where’s Daddy?”, which stated or shows the growing number of illegal children which are born to professional athletes. Since then, he pinned many cover stories and profiles on athletes. In addition, U.S. Basketball Writers Association gave four Magazine Story of the Year awards to Wahl.
Wahl gets married to a famous medical doctor and medical journalist Celine Gounder, who is specialized in different kinds of infectious diseases and global health. The couple first met at Princeton University, their alma mater where both are completing their degree in different branches. Then they get married in 2001. Both spent their time happily for 48 years and in 2002 Wahl passed away in the 2022 FIFA World Cup held in Qatar.
