Michelle Yeoh, a leading actress from Malaysia, has been chosen the Icon of the Year 2022 by TIME magazine, confirming the actor’s status as a superstar in the entertainment industry.
An exclusive category dubbed “Icon of the Year” is featured in the magazine’s annual Person of the Year issue. Yeoh was recognised in May as one of TIME magazine’s most influential people in 2022.
The announcement was made after Blackpink’s selection as the magazine’s 2022 Entertainer of the Year.
According to the magazine’s study, Blackpink has succeeded by vying for our attention anywhere we have it available, including on screens and in apparel and headphones.
