Baseball player Justin Verlander, 39, is a member of the Houston Astros. He is a starting pitcher who is regarded as one of this generation’s most established and successful pitchers. Verlander, who was up in Manakin-Sabot, Virginia, was an early baseball prodigy. He is the elder brother of MLB Analyst Ben Verlander and the son of Richard and Kathy Verlander. With the Richmond, Virginia, Tuckahoe Little League, he began his baseball career. Early on, his father saw his potential and put him in the Richmond Baseball Academy. Verlander was a standout in the academy and had a strong fastball early on. After playing for Goochland High School, he attended Old Dominion University.
He established a number of records while playing for Old Dominion, including the most strikeouts in a game and the most in a season. He threw for three years in college, finishing as the institution’s all-time leader in strikeouts, averaging 11.5 per nine innings.
Verlander kept improving and honed his fastball and curveball to perfection. He finished the year with an 18-6 record and pitched his first no-hitter on June 12, 2007, against the Milwaukee Brewers. He got chosen for his first All-Star game that year. He returned in 2009 with a significantly better stat line after a disappointing 2008. He concluded the year with a stellar 3.45 ERA and a 19-9 record. He led the league in wins (19) and strikeouts that year (269). In 2009, he was chosen for the All-Star game. He was chosen to be an All-Star once more following a 2010 season in which he finished with an 18-9 record and a 3.37 ERA.

In November 2018, a girl called Genevieve, the couple’s first child, was born. Genevieve joined Verlander and Upton on the MLB All-Star Game red carpet. Verlander was exchanged for the Houston Astros in 2017. He would continue to perform admirably and assist the Astros in 2017 as they won their first World Series. He received the ALCS MVP award that year. He had a 16-9 record with the Astros in 2018 and achieved various personal milestones, like as 2500 career strikeouts and 200 victories.
