On March 26, 2001, Jameson Williams, a wide receiver with the Detroit Lions of the National Football League, was born. He played collegiate football for Ohio State before moving to Alabama in 2021, when he was awarded an All-American. The Lions picked Williams from the 2022 NFL Draft’s first round. He returned three kickoffs for 177 yards and two touchdowns and grabbed an 81-yard touchdown throw. Williams was chosen to the league’s first teams of the SEC, All-American, and Special Teams Player of the Year.
Williams had an ACL tear during the national championship game of the 2022 College Football Playoff. He had 79 receptions for 1,572 yards and 15 touchdowns by the time the 2021 season was through. After the title game, he declared for the 2022 NFL Draft and started his recovery from the injury.
