Two guards and a bystander are killed in a robbery involving an armored truck in Los Angeles. This starts a series of four related events. Patrick Hill works as an armored truck guard for Fortico Security five months after the heist. Terry, his manager, praises his recommendations, and “Bullet,” the business trainer, calls him “H.” Hill barely completes his preparation and has a challenging relationship with “Boy Sweat” Dave and Dana Curtis, two of his teammates. The bullet is held prisoner while a pickup of more than $2 million in cash is being made. Hill convinces a scared Dave to comply with the robbers’ requests before dispatching the entire gang with great shooting and deadly efficiency. 

On the morning of the first robbery, five months before joining Portico, Hill is with his son Dougie. With only a few hundred thousand dollars taken, they rob Carlos’ affluent client.
