The first two exit polls published on Sunday (7), shortly after the end of the poll, point to a second round in Ecuador. The Cedatos Institute points to the victory of Andrés Arauz with 34.94% against 20.99% of Guillermo Lasso. Third, Yaku Pérez, with 17.99%.
The Instituto Clima Social contributes Arauz with 36.2% and Lasso with 21.7%.
To win in the first round, the candidate must obtain 50% of the votes plus one, or 40%, but with a difference of ten percentage points from the second place.
If the results of these polls are confirmed, there will be a second round, which will be held on April 11.
