Russian police have already arrested around 519 people on Sunday (31) during protests in support of Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny that took place across the country, the OVD-Info protest monitor said.
In Moscow alone, around 100 people were arrested. City officials said around 300 people participated in what they described as an unauthorized protest.
The Kremlin had previously announced that it would take action against the protests.
