Twenty-six students participated in KSU’s second annual Public Speaking Showcase on Nov. 11.
Kerwin Swint, author of the critically acclaimed book “Mudslingers”
and professor of Political Science at KSU, appeared on ABC’s The View
last Friday to discuss the five nastiest political campaigns of all

With the election coming closer, the Political Science department held a mock presidential debate on October 9.

held a reception honoring Dr. Arlinda Eaton and KSU student JaTawn
Robinson on Thursday, October 9.
After collecting data from more than 1,200 colleges, U.S. News
& World Report recognized Kennesaw State University as an
“Up-and-coming University” in its America’s Best Colleges 2009
publication.
What set out to be an informative panel quickly became a heated
debate when 115 politically-concerned KSU students gathered in the
University Rooms for the Victory Only Through Education (VOTE) program
on Sept. 16.
In 2004, Atlanta was named the Springtime Allergy Capital of the
United States by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. This
year, Atlanta dropped to 56th on the list of 100 cities, down from last
year’s rank of 10.
