Man enters through window
On Feb. 2, KSU Police were dispatched to Colonial Grand apartments in response to a potential break-in. The complainant stated that at approximately 10:30 p.m., her dog began to bark at the apartment window. After lifting the blinds, she discovered a black male in a red hooded sweatshirt attempting to open the window. He then ran away from the building. The witness noticed a woman accompanying the subject.
Equipment goes missing
KSU Police met with an equipment rental company representative at the Student Center on Feb. 2. The individual claimed that three microphone stands and one boom attachment were stolen from the Student Center between 12:00 and 12:45 p.m. Items were marked with identifying barcodes. The officer was later dispatched to meet with a university representative at the center. The individual, noting KSU tags on the items but not the barcodes, inadvertently assumed the equipment was university property and stored them at the center. The items were returned to the rental company.
Student found in bathroom
A KSU Police officer was on routine patrol by the Student Center at approximately 10:48 p.m on Feb.1. Upon examining the men’s restroom, he discovered a white male lying unconscious in a bathroom stall. After he was awakened and questioned, the man stated that he had passed out after drinking too much alcohol at a Student Center function. After attempting to contact his roommate for a ride from the center, the student was taken home by the officer.
